PICTORIAL REVIEW
1481 Desert Island
Mister Phes presents us with another fine review:
this time the classic 1481 Desert Island, an early
form of Impulse set. Featuring the starving, marooned
pirate with only a parrot and a saucepan for company,
will he ever make it away from the island and past
the hungry shark?

Joey Lock has emerged as a profilic LEGO
Digital Designer artist who focuses his talents
towards bringing Pirate LEGO into the digital age.
His recent offering is this "realistic town house"
which once again demonstrates that LDD has its place
within the world of LEGO Piirates!
Perhaps the LEGO Group should consider producing sets
focused around colonial life;
after all, many fans have expressed interest in the
non-conflict aspects of pirate times.

Volcano Island
Duke's latest is a wonderfully tranquil
island with lucious vegetation, chattering monkeys
and a bathing pool; only, watch out for the fiery
volcano and inevitable sacrifice...

Port Antonio
Evildead's scene is reminiscent of
classical Pirate sets, yet retains the aura of a fine
MOC, capturing the slightly shanty-town-esque feel
of the real-life port which inspired this. Watch out
for the rat wars!

Folks, we have what appears to be the set names
for the 2009 Pirate sets!
As the usage of these names remains uncertain,
they have been removed out of respect to the LEGO
Group.
