BREAKING NEWS!!!

New Pirate LEGO mini-figures in 2009?

Earlier in July SirNadroj visited the LEGO store in Chandler, AZ and discovered a store display featuring mini-figures he'd never seen before - and this included Pirate LEGO mini-figures!!!

I contacted the LEGO Community Group to determine whether it was permissable to use images of these figures in the LEGO Pirate Forum and the frontpage of Classic-Pirates.com.

They told me nothing was planned and these were old mini-figures rerranged into new combinations.
I highlighted that the Imperial Guard torso had never been officially produced and in response I was informed the matter would be investigated but nothing could be confirmed even if they are official upcoming Pirate LEGO mini-figures! So... What does this mean exactly? Are they teasing us perhaps?

Join the speculation - will LEGO Pirates return in 2009?

Tell us which new pieces you'd like to see in a future LEGO Pirates theme

Featured Land MOC

Che Guevara once said, "The revolution is not an apple that falls when it is ripe. You have to make it fall." Duke has certainly been down to the orchard with his latest MOC, depicting the storming of the Bastille in Paris by rebel soldiers!

6279 Skull Harbor
By Metalandi

Pirate LEGO Pictorial Review

Captain Redbeard's (or is that Roger's?) third and final base of operations! The mere sight is enough to drive fear into the hearts of even the bravest Imperial Guard... Metalandi takes us on a tour through this bastion of chaos - ok so maybe it's not that frightening, or is it?

Featured Ship MOC

Skeleton Pirate Ship
By Vincent Cheung

Featured MOC

Check out this monstrosity of a masterpiece! Vincent Cheung takes the concept of "skeleton ship" one step further and has created a vessel that appears to be constructed entirely from bone. Be sure to examine the close-up pictures otherwise you'll miss the grusomely exquisite details.

Featured Poll

It's great to add racial diversity to your MOCs, after all, the Caribbean was one of the most racially diverse regions of its time and therefore this should be relfected in MOCs.

But is it natural to mix yellow mini-figures with dark skinned mini-figures? Or should only flesh-toned figures only be used with dark skineed figures?

Featured Brick Film

LEGO Pirates Movie
By Doug Vandegrift

Featured MOC

Doug Vandegrift's Brickfilm is packed with epic twists and turns, battle monkeys, and - of course - a savage pirate with a curiously black beard... The film is is a stunning blend of stop-motion brick animation and Computer Generated Imagery. At 30 minutes long, it is almost a Pirate Blockbuster!

A must see for any LEGO Pirate or animation enthusiasts
