Seems like good fun!
New Classic-Pirates.com user gatorzip02 has recently shown us an innovative way to play with Pirate LEGO. All you need is a board game called Pirate's Cove. If you have it, you can play it using LEGO ships and islands. You can use sets, MOCs - big ones, small ones - it's all up to you!
Up to four people may play it at the same time - plundering islands, sinking ships, collecting treasure and doing all kinds of piratey stuff!

Possible future minifigs?
As you may recall, we the members of Classic-Pirates.com have a reason to believe that LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean line will be released some time in the future. It's also been stated that the POTC: On Stranger Tides movie (which is to be released next year) will include some Spanish characters, ships and locations.
Also, the upcoming POTC: Armada of the Damned video game will include characters resembling Spanish minifigs from the classic LEGO Imperial Armada subtheme (see the above screenshot).
Does this mean that we are going to get new Imperial Armada-like minifigs and sets, for the first time since 1997 (not counting the 2001 re-release)?

Big and beautiful!
Classic-Pirates.com user mvelic has once again presented us with a huge and great-looking ship! It's a yet-unnamed pirate vessel that he built together with his girlfriend. It's modular, with easy access to all the interior details - and there's quite a lot of them, so check them all out!

Stash2Sixx - our wealthiest member so far...
Many of us, the fans of LEGO Pirates, have those gold coins that are included in many Pirate sets. They come in values of 10, 20, 30 and 40. Have you ever tried adding all of your coins up, like real money, to find out how rich you are?
Some Classic-Pirates.com users have already done so, and it turns out that our richest member so far is Stash2Sixx, who has a total amount of 23 360 in gold! He even posted a picture of his treasure.
Do you want to show us your gold coins? Or perhaps you have even more coins than this? Or do you want to see the full list of our wealthiest users so far?

A magnificent pirate vessel...
Check out this amazing giant pirate ship called Death's Breath, built by Eurobricks and Classic-Pirates.com member Dr Rod. The picture shows the vessel being displayed at BrickExpo in Canberra, Australia.
Its creator claims it was built hastily - certainly the picture doesn't show that. The interior details are still to be completed, so good luck with that!

The sailors are busy...
Sometimes we do show you old MOCs which definitely deserve being featured on Classic-Pirates.com. This is the case with this vignette, built by BaronSat in 2006.
This MOC features a cross-section of a ship's hull, showing various activities taking place on a typical day at sea. And there is much to be done on a ship like this one!

A hoax or a new theme?
This picture was taken at this year's San Diego Comic Con. Surely this minifig looks like Jack Sparrow from Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean movie series. Does this mean we will see a new licensed theme soon?
With the LEGO® Group now working with Disney and having relaesed themes like Prince of Persia, this surely does sound plausible.
