Last week we released Part 1 of an exciting interview with LEGO® set designer Jamie Berard, and now we are releasing Part 2! Full of more interesting facts about LEGO trains, The Emerald Night and LEGO in general, this is another 'Behind The Helm' that you don't want to miss.
Ahoy there matey's, today be no normal interview! LEGO set designer Jamie Berard, responsible for great sets like 10194 Emerald Night and 10182 Cafe Corner, has agreed to be interviewed. This is part 1.
Today's poll is about two themes, both of them Pirate related. The first is currently non existent as a theme however many LEGO fans would look forward to the theme if it was announced. Of course we're talking about Pirates of the Caribbean (POTC). The next theme is the Classic-Pirates we all know and love. Go ahead to the ballots and give your say on the topic, would you like POTC, Classic-Pirates or even both at the same time?
Yargh, Cutlass_Iz and Captain Zuloo are pleased to present Episode #11 of 'Behind The Helm' - Cap'n Blackmoor. Packed full of audio goodness, we discuss the future of LEGO, his Pillage The Village entry and scallywags putting garden gnomes on the road...
In the ballots today Capatin Zuloo wishes to find out your favourite pirate ship sail colour combination. Choose from a wide variety of colour combinations such as 'Red & White', 'Blue & White' and possibly even 'Blue & White with crown pattern'. While you are over in the Classic-Pirate.com forum voting why not submit what combinations you want to see in the future?
Episode #10 of 'Behind The Helm' has been released, and again it's in audio format! Today I have the pleasure of presenting to you a brilliant interview with forum user Cutlass_Iz. We discuss the history, future and present of LEGO, the discontinuation of the 2009 Pirates line, and Pirate themed restaurants! Have a listen below:
So what do ye think? Give us yer feedback on the audio format and the interview itself!
Anyone for a heated debate? Forum member David Thomsen brings up the question: Now that we know there will be no new sets in 2010, what will we have in 2011? Is there a chance for POTC? Or should The LEGO® Group stick with Classic LEGO Pirates? What do you think?
Ahoy there ye scallywaygs, it be a special time fer Classic-Pirates.com. Along with Pillage the Village II being announced, we have launched a whole new concept of 'Behind The Helm' interviews. We're running a few episodes in audio format rather than text to see how things pan out. Joining me for the first of hopefully many audio interviews is again Tom "Bonaparte" Jacobs to discuss the new contest from Classic-Pirates.com. Check it out below:
But we need your input! Do you like this new format? Would you like to hear more of these audio interviews, or would you prefer to continue reading them? The more feedback we get, the better we can provide for your needs.
