The Spyglass
Matthew Hurt constructed a small inn based off the one in Louis Stevenson's Treasure Island. The details include great woodwork, a clever "spyglass" sign, and the classic ship wheel piece that looks great almost anywhere.

Even small ships can have a beautiful stern.
When it comes to shape, this ship is almost as perfect as a wooden ship model can be. Based on the plans of the French ship La Recouvrance, this gaff rigged schooner is built for a maximum of speed. Eurobricks member Frank Brick Wright clearly did a good job on this vessel, and it's getting even better! Sails will be added and there's even been some talk about a test cruise.

TheBrickAvenger has taken it upon himself to recreate some Playmobile sets in LEGO form. This is his second set and it came out looking at least ten times better than the source material. I especially like the look of the prison walls where he has mixed plates and tiles to give it a real stone feel, as well as the mixing in of a few darker pieces to break up the solid color a bit. Check out the rest of the pictures on the forum, and you'll see the prison has a moving door and the great details on the dock too.

The looks of this rival the Imperial Flagship.
Franko Komljenovic recently constructed this amazing pirate ship. It bears no name, but its looks alone are enough to make one remember it. The details are so crisp and clean, yet they maintain an almost LEGO set like quality.

Roll up your sails and stay a while.
There's no wasted space on this project. The lighthouse island is full of naturally eroded rock sculpture, flying and nesting birds, and palm trees. Of course, there's the beautiful lighthouse using white with dark red highlights and a working light! The small ship is surprisingly detailed with actual sails, rolled up for docking of course. The whole scene is place atop a very cleanly designed SNOT base.

This may be a small MOC, but upon closer inspection it's a very clever and detailed piece of work. Eurobricks member Mr. Townsend did a marvellous job on this powerful short-range cannon. This weapon caused even more deadly splinters on enemy ships, hence it's nickname the smasher. A great addition to many a LEGO ship! Sponge, wormer, bucket and cannonballs, it's all there!

The pirates travel the desert in search of water.
It isn't every day you see a band of pirates in the middle of a dry desert. Petronel tells the story of a group of pirates in search of the world's purest water. The landscaping, architecture, and pirate crew are worthy of note when discussing the great details on this awesome LEGO creation.

Looks like the French have set up an ambush for the Spanish soldiers in ACPin's latest creation. Goes to show that sometimes you can use some larger LEGO elements such as raised baseplates and printed wall bricks to create an interesting scene. All the greenery really pulls the whole thing together and makes me wonder what happened next!
