So many figs, so little time!
The official images for the LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 10 are out! There are some great Pirate theme figures this time around including a new Bluecoat Soldier with powder wig, and islander with a mohawk, and a Sea Captain with a seagull!

Not the one from Pirates of the Caribbean, sadly...
The television show Spongebob Squarepants has a number of piratical characters, including The Flying Dutchman, a spectral buccaneer with a ghostly ship. As revealed by German toy site spielwaren-hegmann.de, this ship will be released as a LEGO set in January 2012. This set features a number of Pirate-related elements, including new minifig torsos, hats, a cannon, and more!

Jack Sparrow in a dingy
The Pirates of the Caribbean news just keeps coming. This time it's poly bag number 3. Set 30131 is Jack Sparrow in a dingy, which isn't much, but for a premium minifig like this and it looks like you get one of the new glass bottle pieces. We can add this along side the wooden jack Sparrow and the mini Black Pearl. Keep your eyes peeled for these!

A new LEGO Pirates comic is coming out in februari. It has 48 pages and the age range is 6-8... But it may still be of interest for pirate fans because there's a topic going on about how many named LEGO Pirates are out there. And this comic can give us more background information about the world of brick-pirates.

After months of speculation, it's official
BILLUND, Denmark, Nov. 18, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- The LEGO Group and Disney Consumer Products today announced an upcoming collection of LEGO® brand Pirates of the Caribbean construction toys that will set children's imaginations sailing on thousands of build-and-play adventures. Scheduled to launch in spring 2011, eight new building sets will bring the action, stories and characters of the entire series of Pirates of the Caribbean films to life in LEGO form, including the spring 2011 premiere of the fourth installment, "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides."
