LEGO elements are even used for the rigging!
Sir Francis Drake’s Golden Hinde is famous for circumnavigating the globe. Brickshelf member t-brick brings us a new interpretation on Drake’s flagship with this wholly brick-built beauty. All the detail seems just right, from the perfect English galleon shape to the gorgeous color scheme.

The Lady showing us what she's got!
Recently promoted Eurobricks Fellow and "Grand Master" Derfel Cardarn takes a break from showing us how to build a medieval village to display his fantastic ship, Lady Guinevere. Some of the many highlights of this ship include the shape, coloration, rigging and custom made sails. Derfel promises to bring us more ships as an entire English fleet is on its way.

Legonardo Davidy's Athena
Flickr member Legonardo Davidy shows off his first ship MOC ever, the Athena. He says building, rebuilding, and rigging this French frigate took him 113 hours to complete. With so much time devoted to the frigate, it is easy to see why he nails the shape, color combinations, custom sails and custom string rigging on this ship.

A true ghost ship!
The official LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean Black Pearl set is already available in some shops, so we will probably see it reviewed on Classic-Pirates.com very soon. Meanwhile, let's take a look at this MOC version built by Elander. It's based very loosely on the movie version, and has some strange proportions here and there, but it's supposed to be a fantasy ship after all - and as such it looks really good!

The Hippo
Our News Scout Horry has been busy finding LEGO Pirate creations for us to share with you. Today he brings us "The Hippo". Little is known about this ship, but I can see where it gets its name. The rigging is nicely done on this ship as is the custom sail.

Strong and fast!
When he saw he didn't need the top part of the new LEGO hulls, Eurobricks member Sebeus Iniwum started on what was to become this excellent creation. It's a strong ship, with a nice colourscheme, a clever new technique on the stem and lots of fine details.

Beautiful, and slightly bigger than the Imperial Flagship
A well-armed vessel with a nice colourscheme and some beautiful decorations. That's The Golden Stallion in short. Eurobricks member Dreamweb took the challenge of building a ship on the notorious 4+ hull, and made an excellent creation out of it. It may not be very realistic, but it's full of nice details in both interior and exterior.

The Classic-Pirates.com News Scouts have been hard at work, and today we bring you a ship found while browsing the popular LEGO image hosting site brickshelf. Our News Scout Horry has found this creation referred to as Poseidon's Wrath. I love how it resembles the Black Seas barracuda but has so much more to offer, be sure to check it out.
