moc pirates rocks techniques birds waves bluecoats branches stones legs fishing battle

These pirates don't have a lucky day.

This MOC may be small, but our new member "LL"  has put some clever new techniques in it, and that's why it gets a well-deserved spot on the blog. The arm legs give the minifigs a funny and active look, and things like the waves, the branch and the shooting effect are great as well. Feel free to have a look and to welcome this new member.

moc pirates bar scene funny pub party legos r2d2 frankenstein joda admiral captain

They seem to be having a good time!

Although there aren't many 'real' pirates in this MOC, it's very piraty. It's a pub scene, and even the non-pirates all have some piratical features. There's a lot of funny action going on, and famous persons like Frankenstein and R2D2 are also present. Time to have a good laugh and check out the interesting techniques and minifig-MODs.

The combination of sunset and grog must be the ideal for every pirate!

Even though he says it's a quick weekend MOC, Eurobricks member Inkog did a marvellous job here. It's inspired by Whitecap Bay, which is a set from the new LEGO PotC-line as you know. It does look like Whitecap Bay, but perhaps this MOC is even better.

Barracuda’s Quarters by SlyOwl

captains quarters cannon pounder pirates navy flags model ships birds techniques galleries

A room full of stuff, depicting his many adventures.

Barracuda used to be a navy man, but he grew tired and wanted more action. So he engaged a pirate ship and rose to captainhood. As SlyOwl says: "his quarters reflect both his character and past - functional and sturdy, but not lacking in glamour or flamboyance where indulged".
