Big power in a small package.
Everyone loves a good underdog story, well here's one on the high seas! One little canon, will they be able to take out the ship and head home with much needed gold and rum? It's going well so far!

The Spyglass
Matthew Hurt constructed a small inn based off the one in Louis Stevenson's Treasure Island. The details include great woodwork, a clever "spyglass" sign, and the classic ship wheel piece that looks great almost anywhere.

Faites-leur les garçons!
Looks like the French have set up an ambush for the Spanish soldiers in ACPin's latest creation. Goes to show that sometimes you can use some larger LEGO elements such as raised baseplates and printed wall bricks to create an interesting scene. All the greenery really pulls the whole thing together and makes me wonder what happened next!

A band of pirates reclaim their hidden treasure.
This magnificent diorama by Mark of Falworth depicts some pirates visiting their treasure cave. The scurvy band of misfits have apparently reclaimed their loot and are taking it out of the cavern. There are many noteworthy details including the sea weed, foliage, and the water technique that Mark has become well known for.
Marvel at the details, and then discuss the Treasure Cave in the forum.

Crossing the Bridge
Corioso has created this wonderful diorama with a group of Spanish explorers crossing a rickety bridge. The minifig combinations here really work great and there is a lot of life in the posing of them. The build itself has many great techniques including SNOT, wonderful slope sculpting, and some really nice riverside trees. You owe it to yourself to take a look at the thread for some great closeup photos.

Gators Must Like Wine
It doesn't take a lot of brick to build an interesting scene. Thoy Bradley has done a great job here showing the dynamic water of the river as the captain escapes from a crocodile with his precious wine. I really like all the vegetation along the river banks and the water bubbles give a great sense of movement and direction.

Don't look back!
Evildead depicts a giant squid chasing after a light snack. The poor pirate seems to be in quite a panic. The details on the squid are great, and the water technique is unique and different from what is usually seen when depicting water in Lego form.

The Tower at Black Rock
Flickr user JimKeepers recently constructed this unique scene. A small pirate band of misfits row toward a tall watch tower encrusted against a rocky black shore. The water, tower, and black rocks help make this small diorama eye catching and worth a look.
