Does this give you nostalgic feelings? Then check it out!
Raise the anchor and set sail! We're going back to the first year of LEGO Pirates: 1989! We now have a number of scans of Bricks 'N Pieces, the official magazine of the UK LEGO Club. It contains a small LEGO model of HMS Victory, a comic, a LEGO eye-patch and much more. After all these years, it's still fun to take a look!

A screenshot of these excellent instructions.
As you may know, The LEGO Group has made a special build, which you can make by combining the sets London Escape and Whitecap Bay. They only didn't provide proper instructions, so Eurobricks member Boomchil made his own, put them in a PDF format and shared them on our forum.

Review: 30131 Jack Sparrow in Boat
For those of you who live in the UK, or with deep pockets, the News of the World brings us a free Lego Pirates of the Caribbean polybag set. Although very simple, you get Jack Sparrow a fine glass bottle and his tiny boat. One thing to note though is Jack's hat, which is only available in the $50+ sets so this is a great way to grab it free.

Take a look in the forum for better pictures.
Even though it's a mini-review of a mini LEGO set, this review is worthy of taking a look at. It's just one minifig, representing a wooden Jack Sparrow. Could this have something to do with the movie? It probably does, and it sure is special.

Those sets ended the first era of LEGO Pirates!
With all the new LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean sets already reviewed and blogged, let's once again make a time travel to the past. Classic-Pirates.com member SirSven7, whom you might remember from writing those great comprehensive reviews of 1989 - 1991 and 1992 - 1995 Pirate sets, continues his great work. This time he takes a look at sets released in 1996 and 1997, the last System Pirates sets we'd seen until 2009 - in fact for many years they were considered the last Pirate sets PERIOD! Also, a new faction was introduced back then - the Spaniards, a subtheme sadly never properly expanded.
