Arrr! We're here for your gold!
”Just a simple vig to celebrate my new camera.” Imagine this: you’re a soldier aboard an Imperial Ship. You see the black and white Pirates flag. You immediately alert the captain. But it’s already too late. . .They’re boarding the ship! You need to fight for the Empire and for your life!

Another beautiful MOC from RichardAM: the pirates can’t believe their eyes when passing by Mermaid Rock!

Though the map was innaccurate, the journey was far from a failure- Mermaid Rock proved to be the real treasure of the quest.

TheBrickster wants to know…
What do you want to see added to the new Pirates lines? A Pirates of the Caribbean license line? A new and much more detailed pirate ship? A fresh Armade line? Or do you just want a lot of re-releases of the older sets in form of LEGO® LEGENDS sets? Or maybe something entirely new?

The pirates, although running for their pathetic little lives, are hunted down one by one by the Islanders, who are lead by a new King. At least the crocodiles are happy…

Achu has killed Kahuka and now rules the tribe.

"That better be REAL gold you're offering us!"
”On November 8th 1519, Hern¡n Cort©s and the Spaniards under his command arrived in Tenochtitlan, the capital city of the Aztec civilization. They were peacefully received by the Aztec Emperor Moctezuma II, due to Mexican tradition and diplomatic customs.
Moctezuma deliberately let Cort©s enter the heart of the Aztec Empire, hoping to get to know their weaknesses better and to crush them later. He gave lavish gifts in gold to the Spaniards which enticed them to plunder vast amounts of gold. ”

It’s not that often that we see a good Pirate video game in our community, so it’s nice when someone like TinyPiesRUs shares with us a new computer game set in Napoleonic times – Empire: Total War. The game is set to be released March 2009, and promises great ship designs and awesome graphics!
So hurry on over to the Pirate forum and discuss
Empire: Total War.

The 2009 LEGO Pirate line has brought us a hot topic of discussion. Is the same map used by the Indiana Jones line appropriate for a heavily water-based theme like Pirates? Or is it way off? Or do you prefer the older, more traditional Classic Pirate map?
Let others know your opinion by voting whether you think the map is perfect, acceptable, terrible, or one of many other options in the

Logbo wasn’t quite satisfied with the range of sails provided by LEGO®, so he decided to make his own. It’s always nice to see some custom sails, but these are extraordinary! With a brilliantly stunning white and red Imperial pattern and a dark and forbidding Pirate insignia, these sails would fit nicely onto an ship!
So head on over to Logbo’s Sailmaking thread and check out his custom genius!

In the ballots today you have the chance to vote whether you prefer the LEGO® Pirates theme or the Castle theme, and because we are all biased towards Pirates, we already know the outcome of the poll. However, the Castle fans have been out in their masses and have almost balanced the votes. Are you a die-hard Castle fan or do you prefer the scurvier side of the brick?
Rally to the Pirate forum and tell us your opinion!
