So we must ask; do we have yet another new imperial faction on our hands? Or be this attire dress uniform variant for the Imperial Guards? Exactly how does the Tuba Play fit into the broader LEGO universe and especially the LEGO Pirates theme?

Like all recent imperial additions, the Tuba Player lacks official lore, leaving his existence with the imaginations of fans.
Interestingly enough, twas revealed in a recent interview Brick Fanatics held at Fan Mediay Days 2025 with Esa Nousiainen (LEGO Minifigures design lead), who informed the Collectible Minifigure tuba was inspired by the Fabuland tuba piece which debuted in 1984.
