The Frigate Eclipse

New Eurobricks user Captain Golden Hook has presented us with his ship, the Eclipse, a pirate frigate with 20 guns.  A very nice ship, with string rigging, and custom sails.  Particularly nice are the Atlantis details he has incorporated in the stern.

“Black Rock Tribe” by Brick to Form

Friday, December 20th, 2013 Photo of "Black Rock Tribe" by Brick to Form

MOCpages member Brick to Form built this wonderful Islander display.  The island has lots of play features built in,  and a beautiful brick built waterfall.  The pirate ship is very nice, and has secret compartments to hide their booty!  All in all this is an excellent MOC, sure to please any LEGO Pirates fan.

It’s just a shame MOCpages is now defunct so we’re unable to provide more photos or at least one decent photo of suitable quality. Ah well, we shall keep the only photo we have as evidence this great MOC once existed.

I believe it’s this way, but I’m not sure!

Attempting a new water technique, Eurobricks user lenjoyLego89 built this great little vignette.  I can feel the action in the scene, the boat rocking back and forth, it almost feels as if it is actually moving!

The Caribbean Clipper’s all grown up.

Inspired by the Lego Pirates audio dramas, eurobricks member Matthias130182 brings us his interpretation of Governor Broadside’s flagship, the Cannonball! Taking some cues from the classic Caribbean Clipper, this beauty comes well-equipped with 16 guns and a full crew. Pirates beware!

“Bamboo Hut” by Legopard

Wednesday, December 11th, 2013 Photo of "Bamboo Hut" by Legopard

Legopard created this wonderful MOC to show off his new moldable water technique, but the whole scene is worth a closer look. Many amazing details in such a small space will make you wonder why you never thought to use parts in these ways.

You could be Relaxing on a rolling lagoon while discussing Bamboo Hut in the LEGO Pirates MOC forum. Actually, lagoons don’t tend to roll, do they?

Legopard (Jonas) Writes:

Based on 1×1 Tiles with Clip + 1×2 trans Tiles.

But the water alone was a bit boring so i added some plants, a bamboo hut and details. 😉

More pictures you can find like always on Flickr and MOCpages.

I hope you enjoy it!

Supplies Abound!

Turambar has created this large 108×96 stud display featuring a brilliant ship, island area, and busting port town. There are some great shots of the town in action on the forum post.   All the little details really give the town life and the design of the buildings is top notch.

Maya, Inca, Aztec Diorama

Eurobricks member Subix created this awesome Mesoamerican diorama for his local LUG. The main temple modeled after Temple I in Tikal, and smaller buildings in other architectural styles of the ancients.  Subix has managed to pack many details in this MOC, including custom made stickers, and lights in the temples.  If your a fan of Mesoamerican history like I am, this is one MOC you will not want to miss!
