Builds
Like all Creator 3-in-1 sets three different builds are included.
Iconic Pirate Ship
As many a LEGO Pirate fan has noted, the Iconic Pirate Ship is very reminiscent of the previous Creator set, 31109 Pirate Ship due to its similar footprint.
The primary build is a mid‑sized, two‑masted ship designed in the Creator set style so the sails are rendered in bricks, rather than fabric, as many AFOLs would prefer.
Pirate Fort
A compact coastal stronghold… long ago the pirates thwarted the imperials and moved right into their bastion, extending its base with whatever flotsam they could muster.
With a central lookout tower protruding from a wooden shanty, the for offers glorious firing cannons, arranged upon a shoreline base, in a vibrant palette of tan and brown.
Two Small Sloops
Two spry sloops burst from the same trove of bricks: lean raiders with a sharp‑cut bow and each equipped with a cannon ready to bark.
Each carries a sports mast and with a main sail, their decks open for daring minifig crews, and together they skim the waves like rival corsairs itching for a chase, a boarding, or a bit of glorious mischief upon the high seas.
Pirate Parts
Like all good pirate sets, offers LEGO Pirate fans a variety of useful elements for cannibalization in other creations – it’s not a One Piece, set after all!
There be a treasure chest… but not full of gold vaccuum metal coins like all the fans want. Instead yer get them cheap lookin’ gems. There also be a map, anchor, goblet/chalice, lantern, rub-a-dub tub, telescope, a couple of plumes, a couple of black flags, a few cannon balls, and plenty of cutlasses and firearms, enough to blow them Imperial Guards to Kingdom Come!
Minifigures
This Creator pirate ship includes five minifigs! Two lads, two lasses and a skeleton.
Another captain who looks strikingly similar to Johnny Thunder
What should truly delight AFOLs is the arrival of fresh pirate torso designs, a welcome treasure after the grumbling over recent sets, particular where the BrickLink Designer Program keeps recycling non‑pirate torsos from whatever sets are in production.
Bravo, LEGO Group! The new pirate torsos are a triumph. Now all we need are some brand‑new pirate heads to match their swagger.
Brick Beastie
The official LEGO website describes this creature as a “sea monster“, but as you may well have observed, this appeared to be an octopus… or maybe a baby kraken.
So if anyone dare claim the new Iconic Pirate Ship is the same as the previous Creator Pirate Ship, you let them know calamari is on offer this time!
Firing Cannons
AFOLs will be relieved to learn firing cannons have returned!
Hearts were a flutter surrounding the release of Jack Sparrow’s Pirate Ship when it was discovered to be equipped with brick-built canons. Fortunately, this was a functional decision in support of the ship’s play main feature, and not a decision to cease production on everyone’s favourite spring-loaded LEGO element.
