Tournament of Retribution teaser

From the dawn of time they have been at war. No one knows how it started or why. Whatever the reason, every molecule in their ABS plastic is filled with contempt and disgust for the opposite side. For the safety and harmony of brick loving folks everywhere this animosity is held in check by the most advanced technology and the toughest moderators much of the year…but inevitably this much rage can’t be contained and it explodes into…

The Burning of Washington by Ratshot

Can the President escape before it's too late?

The war of 1812, the Americans had attacked the Canadians capital and they were out for revenge. Led by British forces, the Canadian forces attacked Washington DC with little American resistance. Chocked full of action and battle, this is one of the most lively ‘Bayonets at Dawn’ entries we have seen.

Battle of La Haye Sainte, a Lego creation by DanMov

The battle begins...

Classic-Pirates.com user DanMov has shown us his Bayonets at Dawn contest entry. The MOC represents the beginning of the Battle for La Haye Sainte.

It’s a very big diorama which could probably be easily used for miniature wargaming of some sort, using Lego soldiers!

Battle of Fontenoy by Perfectionist

(May 11, 1745)

The Battle of Fontenoy

The date was May the 11th 1745, the canon’s start to fire with a fierce authority.  From the Red coats to the Blue coats this MOC tells the story well.  With a great cannonball technique and an impressive army to boot, this Bayonets at Dawn entry is sure to do well.  Entered just in time for the contest!

Siege and Blockade of Yorktown 1781 by KillaGorilla

Wednesday, June 2nd, 2010

And another great entry came just on time before the deadline. There is so much to see in this MOC that it may take a while to notice all the nice details, such as decapitation, a serious leg wound, an unseated British Lancer, and a bayonet stab. KillaGorilla shows us all the glory and horror of big Napoleonic battles. And for all the ship-fans there is also a big French ship of war in this MOC.
