A modern recreation of classic Pirate sets...
Eurobricks member mali has created an amazing pirate scene featuring several classic Pirate sets, all lovingly rendered using 3ds Max and LeoCAD. That’s right; each and every brick in this amazing scene is a computer generated image! Mali’s scene includes the Lagoon Lock-up, the Eldorado Fortress, and several variations on the Caribbean Clipper. Be sure to check out the excellent fly through animation!

Just as fierce as the plastic version!
Captain Redbeard is given a new dimension! He already existed in a LEGO form and in a computergame form, but now there’s also a paper form! The paper version is just as modular as the plastic one, and in the forum you can download the instrucions to make your own!

The Lady showing us what she's got!
Recently promoted Eurobricks Fellow and “Grand Master” Derfel Cardarn takes a break from showing us how to build a medieval village to display his fantastic ship, Lady Guinevere. Some of the many highlights of this ship include the shape, coloration, rigging and custom made sails. Derfel promises to bring us more ships as an entire English fleet is on its way.

See it built brick by brick!
While debating the relative merits of LEGO® Pirates of the Caribbean™ set 4195, Queen Anne’s Revenge, and LEGO® Pirates of the Caribbean™ set 4184, the Black Pearl, Eurobricks member yys4u brings us a “stop motion” build of Queen Anne’s Revenge. Notice the way yys4u “snakes” the plastic bits for an added dramatic effect. Check out the video and vote for the ship you prefer now!

Not the one from Pirates of the Caribbean, sadly...
The television show Spongebob Squarepants has a number of piratical characters, including The Flying Dutchman, a spectral buccaneer with a ghostly ship. As revealed by German toy site spielwaren-hegmann.de, this ship will be released as a LEGO set in January 2012. This set features a number of Pirate-related elements, including new minifig torsos, hats, a cannon, and more!

Look at those great minifigs!
Eurobricks member TheBrickAvenger may forever change our opinion on “fleshies”. Using minifigure parts from LEGO® Prince of Persia™ and LEGO® Pirates of the Caribbean™ lines makes the detailed characters in this action sequence superb. The minifigures, interesting angles of the base and building backdrop as well as TheBrickAvenger’s excellent photography skills make this a scene worth checking out.

Legonardo Davidy's Athena
Flickr member Legonardo Davidy shows off his first ship MOC ever, the Athena. He says building, rebuilding, and rigging this French frigate took him 113 hours to complete. With so much time devoted to the frigate, it is easy to see why he nails the shape, color combinations, custom sails and custom string rigging on this ship.

The pirates are landing!
Classic-pirates.com user Corioso and his fellow builder Stiker499 present us a great battle scene between Blue Coats and the Pirates. It seems that Captain Blackbeard is up to no good again. But this time the Blue Coats are awaiting his landing party at the shore.
All Minifigs feature fleshy parts and the whole scene is very detailed. Some good photography adds to the feeling!

An impressive collection!
Just take a look at all those troops presented by Classic-Pirates.com user Commodore Hornbricker! As he explains, there are a total of 1602 soldiers shown here! This impressive scene was arranged by him to pay tribute to the late Zorro, who used to be a very active member of our website’s crew. We will never forget Zorro!

Tasty cupcakes with some delicious foliage!
Flickr member MrPoopie had the original idea of making Pirate islands out of cupcakes. The islands don’t seem very isolated from each other, and they look both cute and tasty. The Pirates should be having a great time over there. Starvation won’t be a problem!

New ship has joined the fleet!
Classic-Pirates.com user yys4u is one of the lucky owners of the new LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean set – 4184 The Black Pearl. He’s prepared a very cool brickfilm – a stop motion video of building the set brick by brick! It also includes several shots of The Black Pearl among some of the older officially released LEGO ships.
