LEGO Pirate Shine on Little Lighthouse MOC Walt

This little lighthouse of mine, I'm going to let it shine!

Classic-Pirates.com’s own new blogger Walt shows he can do more than write articles with this beautiful lighthouse.  If you don’t fall in love with the gorgeous water, great rock technique or awesome working light tower, maybe you will fall in love with the details like an adorable sandcastle, creative brick-built birds or the excellent mini black ship model.  Welcome to Classic-Pirates Walt!

What Lies in the Shadow of the Statue by Matthew Hurt

What Lies in the Shadow of the Statue

What hidden treasure be this?

Matthew Hurt has created an exciting scene with pirates hiding their latest acquisitions in the cache under a forgotten statue. There are  many little details here from the precisely placed trees and vegetation, brick built seagulls keeping a lookout, to  the crumbed ruins of what looks to be a second statue. The whole thing really makes me wonder what else is going on and where that cave opening leads.

Black Rock Tower

The Tower at Black Rock

Flickr user JimKeepers recently constructed this unique scene. A small pirate band of misfits row toward a tall watch tower encrusted against a rocky black shore. The water, tower, and black rocks help make this small diorama eye catching and worth a look.

Lego Pirate Sailing Ships Tutorial Horry

Reference nerd nirvana!

Have you ever wanted to build a frigate or a man-of-war but just didn’t know where to start?  Eurobricks’ tutorial master Horry has your back.  Horry’s tutorial starts by giving some good guidelines on proper dimension and design for a sailing vessel, and then gets into deeper thought on things like how to rig gunports, rudders and davits or where to place a ship’s stairs or capstans.  If you have been afraid to take the plunge into ship MOCing before, take a look at Horry’s tutorial and proceed with confidence!

Study the blueprints then discuss Sailing Ships Tutorial in the forum.

Nail their gizzards to the yardarm! by SlyOwl

Using chairs for the gunports!

Hold Fast! These ships are fighting in a freezing gale! High brickwaves are smashing against the sides and the stern is on fire! Eurobricks member SlyOwl has made a fantastic scene with two large ships, custom sails/rigging and a lot of action. Don’t hesitate, visit the Pirate MOCs forum!

Pirate Town by brickcitydepot

Made on 9 full baseplates!

Eurobricks member brickcitydepot has made a fantastic pirate port with the typical narrow streets and tall buildings you can also see in places like Tortuga in Pirates of the Caribbean. This MOC also includes a wide variety of roof techniques, a nice pavement technique and a beautiful fort. It was worth the effort for sure!

Pirates Remorse, a LEGO MOC by Thoy Bradley

A sad ending...

Check out this fine creation from Flickr member Thoy Bradley. A giant wave has put the journey of those pirates to an abrupt end… But at least it resulted in this very detailed MOC!

Caribbean Clipper MOC by Warspite03

Capable of taking on any pirate ship, including the Imperial Flagship!

Well, actually it’s more like a MOD, with elements borrowed from the best classical LEGO ships, like the Caribbean Clipper and the Black Seas Barracuda. It has a nice colourscheme, a modular stern and a fine crew. Overall a very decent ship.

LEGO Pirate Flying Dutchman MOC Sebeus Iniwum

Is this ship worth 99 souls?

LEGO delivered the Black Pearl and the Queen Anne’s Revenge,  but Eurobricks MOC Expert Sebeus Iniwum delivered “the goods” with his rendition of the Flying Dutchman.  Where to begin with this beauty?  The size?  The great coloration?  The details like the stern decorations, the Kracken’s capstan or Davy Jones’s Organ?  The bow with the triple guns?  The great shape of the brick-built hull?  Just click the link and look at them all!

Let them taste the triple guns then discuss Flying Dutchman in the forum.

Feed Him to the Sarlacc Fish!, a Pirate LEGO MOC by 2 Much Caffeine

Food!

This MOC was built some time ago, but it definitely deserves to be featured in our blog! Made by Flickr user 2 Much Caffeine, it shows how a certain pirate captain punishes crewmembers who have failed him.
