Oh no! Spinoza jumps aboard the Seahawk... with the map!
Eurobricks member moschino shares with us one of the first LEGO Pirates commercials. Made in a time when computer animated video's didn't exist, this stop-motion film is nevertheless great fun to look at. It's an exciting adventure about the epic battle between Pirates and Bluecoats, fighting over a treasure map. Not to mention the nostalgic value to most of us!
YouTube member tohomanufacturing has posted an awesome LEGO Pirates commercial from 1990. It features an epic battle between the Caribbean Clipper and the Black Seas Barracuda! Check it out for some retro Classic Pirate action.
While debating the relative merits of LEGO® Pirates of the Caribbean™ set 4195, Queen Anne's Revenge, and LEGO® Pirates of the Caribbean™ set 4184, the Black Pearl, Eurobricks member yys4u brings us a "stop motion" build of Queen Anne's Revenge. Notice the way yys4u "snakes" the plastic bits for an added dramatic effect. Check out the video and vote for the ship you prefer now!
Classic-Pirates.com user yys4u is one of the lucky owners of the new LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean set - 4184 The Black Pearl. He's prepared a very cool brickfilm - a stop motion video of building the set brick by brick! It also includes several shots of The Black Pearl among some of the older officially released LEGO ships.
A fantastic brickfilm has been made by our very new Eurobricks member Counter 656. The story is a bit weird, but that's no problem because the quality of the frames and special effects is excellent. I'd count this as a must-see for other brickfilmers and for everyone else who is interested.
Great forum user Admiral Green Buns shows us that he is also a great brick flick director! Not a long animation and not the best quality image, but clearly a brilliant piece of work with humour all around!
Ahoy there mateys, sick of YouTube videos on the frontpage? Bad luck, because we got another one for ye! But this one is the official promotional video for the Pillage the Village II Contest.
General Armendariz, the brickflick genius pressed into the Classic-Pirates.com crew, has treated us with another oscar-winning motion picture: Shipyard Shenanigans, Episode One: "Last words, either way." It tells the humorous story of a man's last words as his ship crumbles into the sea - but I won't spoil the surprise; be sure to grab some popcorn, turn off the lights, and switch on the show!
You may notice many familiar faces starring in the flick, Captain Zuloo, Mister Phes, and Captain Blackmoor among them. Some viewers may wonder, "What is this Shipyard Shenanigans?" Well, we have the same question for you! Sail by the Classic-Pirates.com forum and tell Armendariz your thoughts and opinions.
