After the recently Classic-Pirates.com frontpaged ship, HMS Prince of Wales, by Bonaparte, we have some brilliant news. Bonaparte has been kind enough to offer some behind-the-scenes shots on his somewhat ‘community-built’ ship – well, at least ‘a few great ship builders-built’.
Anyway, rush over to the Pirates forum to check out a backstage tour of the making of the HMS Prince of Wales by Bonaparte!

There are plenty of hats, hairpieces and helmets that LEGO® have produced that fit in perfectly well. However if you want to make an aristocratic force or possibly just some high status members of your port you have yourself a problem. This poll is for you to vote on whether you think LEGO should make new wigs similar to those worn in the 17th and 18th centuries, you can visit the Classic-Pirates.com forum to see many examples of these.

Can the ravenous Pirates lure out the monkey with a delicious, irresistible, ripe banana? A group of trigger happy pirates are ready to shoot whenever the monkey comes out, that’s if it comes out at all. It seems to be preoccupied in it’s cave…

- Poor monkey!
Forseti has used some unique techniques to pull this MOC off. The beautiful tree design really stands out as something special but it does not take away from the central point and focus of the MOC.

After 6 months in the making and many teaser shots that were making us all spew in envy, Bonaparte releases his new ship in the Pirate forum. The Prince of Wales was a combined effort of Bonaparte, Captain green hair, Errorist, Zorro and HMS243, and it certainly shows that it’s built by some of the best ship builders out there.
Featuring beautiful cloth sails and over 160 meters of rigging, this is a ship to be reckoned with. With 60 guns, she’s armed to the teeth, and a great addition to Bonaparte’s British army.
So come and see this long awaited ship, the HMS Prince of Wales by Bonaparte in the Pirate forum!

Oh no! The islanders are attacking! At least it’s only the pirates getting beaten up. But at this rate, they may soon destroy the entire town!

The Islanders are getting their own back on the Pirates in this trilogy of MOCs
SlyOwl presents in three creative MOCs, the so called fearsome and blood thirsty pirates getting a piece of their own medicine from some angry Islanders. Will the Pirates get away? Only if the natives give their boat back.

What’s that coming over the horizon? Could it be the near return of LEGO® Imperial Armada sets? Even if it isn’t we would like to know your opinion and whether you would like to see them return. Recently we have seen tell tale signs of a return by the distinctive helmets worn by the Armada appearing in some other LEGO sets. What do you think?

Gilded in gold and home to mighty black masts, the Fire Hornet is a ship to be proud of. The ship is housed at Port Gaverne ready to defend against Pirate attacks and and other scallywags who may threaten the docks laden with cargo being prepared for shipping.

Unfurl the sails!
Derfel Cardarn, primarily a Pirate theme builder created The Fire Hornet, a mighty ship brimming with munitions and ready to fight. The ship defends the port of his own creation, Port Gaverne. Although the sails are brick built, they have an excellent furled look which is a beautiful detail.

2MuchCaffeine gives us a hilarious little MOC: “Nobody move, or the parrot gets it…”

A pressure packed situation!
Enjoy the funny idea, with some nice little details thrown in like the cups, windows and the nicely tiled floor.
Hopefully the soldier doesn’t shoot, or he’ll dispose of his comrade along with the pirate’s parrot….

‘Marie’ is an impressive ship designed with a sleek round stern, plain white sails and a awe inspiring jet black figure head, ready to instill the most hearty pirates with fear. Laden with cannons and rigging this ship is a welcome addition to any navy.

A menacing black figure head and plain white sails complete the MOC
‘Marie’ was designed and built by Tekka Croe who’s original design varied quite indifferently from this updated version. The unusual element in the MOC is the sleek curved stern which holds the large captain’s cabin. The MOC is full of surprises and interesting LEGO® elements and techniques.

Tumblehome effect in CAD? You’ve got to be joking! But no, Captain Cavinano has done just that with his model of a Dutch Fluyt. This 3-masted ship built entriely digital brick with no pre-fab hulls is quite stunning in its shape, design and colour scheme. And, it has great custom cannons!
