EB member L-space brings us his 2010 Community Build entry, A poor house/charity building were people in need of cloths, food, water and tax relief can find refuge from the pressures of the world.
L-space certainly included lots of unique little details such as a basement entrance, a gang of poor people and a nifty looking chimney.

A brand new frigate appears at the horizon!
Shipyard Master Captain Zuloo has been working on this wonderful frigate, and now it is finished! With fantastic colours, great curved shape and outstanding sails this ship is a pleasure to the eye. It took some time to build it all, but the work has paid off very well. Be sure to read the small story as well for a good laugh!

Fresh croissants anyone?
As part of Classic-Pirates.com community build, Admiral Croissant has shown us his neatly looking bakery, or, to be more precise, a croissant shop.
Complete with a cellar and a ground floor as well as stairs and a sloped roof, this land-based MOC makes a fine example of a civilian building that still fits well into the pirate era. A concept that LEGO has sadly spared us in the official Pirate sets (perhaps with a partial exception of 6277 Imperial Trading Post). Fortunately we have MOCers like Admiral Croissant who are more than willing to make it up to us.

A fast frigate is entering the waters!
Dread Pirate Wesley wanted a model ship with life/a crew on it. So he created something with Lego. It turned out to be a fantastic ship MOC! It’s a big 5th rate ship with 32 guns! It’s also very detailed, with an interior and a big crew. He did a very great job on his first Lego ship. HMS Praetorian is both beautiful and very strong.

Ready to set sail soon!
Inspired by the novels of Patrick O’Brian’s Aubrey/Maturin, Strategos was inspired to build a ship in MLCAD! And it is a nice job already! The privateer has magnificient shapes and details, and her stern is beautiful! She is nearing her completion, and perhaps she will be built in real LEGO bricks after all…

A nice environment for the children.
The 2010 Community Build brings us lots of neat entries, including badboytje88’s orphanage. The orphanage, ran by Father McBrickbeard and his evil nuns, try to find new homes for the children who have been saved from the sea, pillaged villages and other nasty places. The truth is that the little orphanage is a very dangerous place for kids. They are abused, beaten and even sold to rich folks, or worse……pressed into slavery!

Port Framboise - a MOC by Unitron6991!
Classic-Pirates.com user Unitron6991 has built a port for his bluecoat soldiers.
Port Framboise was made solely using pieces of three classic sets many of us know and love: 6259 Broadside’s Brig, 6267 Lagoon Lock-Up, and 6265 Sabre Island. The MOC itself looks like a set that LEGO created at the beginning of 1990’s but somehow kept a secret from us until today!
Check it out to get some classic LEGO Pirates feeling! The MOC is still Work in Progress but already looks like a finished set – we’re eager to find out what the final version will look like. Keep checking it for updates!

Sanctuary by the Sea Pirate MOC
Where do Pirates go to relax and get away from their pillaging lifestyle? Eurobricks Pirate forum member Joe H shows us his interpretation of what that would be like and it’s great! From the well made dock to the shade tree in his yard this Pirate can relax, look out over the sea from his lookout tower and have a good nights sleep due to his supply of rum in the basement.

The Press Gang at work!
The Governor needs new sailors. He therefore decided to launch a major recruitment operation! Eurobricks member 74Louloute has been working on an awesome creation, based on historical facts. He makes it very clear why the press gang is called ‘PRESS gang’. Being pressed into the crew! His creation is both funny and ingenious!

Admiral Benbow Inn from the novel "Treasure Island"
If you’ve ever read the novel “Treasure island” you may have visualized what the Admiral Benbow Inn looks like. Mr.Bricks has answered that question with his vision of this Pirate style classic. The immense number of cheese slopes required for this creation alone is worth the look, 2500!.

Welcome in Davy Jones' Locker!
He tied a cannon to Bootstrap’s bootstraps, and the last we saw of ol’ Bill Turner, he was sinkin’ into the crushing black oblivion of Davy Jones’ Locker…
Eurobricks MOC expert SlyOwl did it again! A neat scene of Davy Jones’ Locker, crammed with detail and great use of parts! You feel even more sorry for poor Bootstrap after you’ve seen this piece of art!
