Eurobricks Root Admin Siegfried has shared with us his entry in the staff division of Classic-Pirates.com’s Pillage The Village II building contest. Although not a classic pirate MOC, still a pirate MOC, and quite a good one at that! With a back story about a half-hearted space pirate and his trial for piracy, this is a great thread to visit.
After the great Pirate-Imperial war of 1789 was over, an era of peace between the two enemies began. Laughter, beer, and many great stories were shared between Pirates and Imperials.
But anger and resentment still lied deep inside both sides. And instead of taking out their anger on each other, they found a common enemy. Seagulls. Loud, annoying, and messy, seagulls were the one thing both sides hated. And so began the great sport of Seagull Blasting, where the Pirates and Imperials would compete to see who could shoot down more seagulls using a cannon. In the background the big wigs of both sides were making bets, because neither side wanted to stop looking for treasure…
Eurobricks and Classic-Pirates.com member Derfel Cardarnis in the hotseat in this interview. In episode #16 of ‘Behind The Helm’, Izzy and Connor get a chance to chat with Luke Watkins, a Eurobricks MOC Expert and a master of brick built landscapes. Luke shares with us past, present and upcoming projects from him as well as a few tips for other builders out there.
One of the master MOC builders in the Pirates world is a fellow by the name of ZCerberus. Always working on something huge, this time it is a never complete ship back in WIP form. Although Z has done some amazing updates, sure worth checking out!
Pirate Plank, a new 2010 LEGO pirates-themed game.
A new line of LEGO® games has been announced, and pictures posted. This new range of multi-player board games includes titles like “Shave A Sheep”, “UFO Attack”, “Magma Monster” and most notably, “Pirate Plank”. A very interesting concept for a game, “Pirate Plank” is exciting LEGO Pirates fans everywhere, and Classic-Pirates.com is no exception!

Izzy, in a solo flight, interviews the worlds first and only female freelance LEGO® artist and writer. Mariann Asanuma shares with us some of her past as a LEGOLAND Master Builder, and she also talks about her hopes for the future of the LEGO hobby itself.
