Captain LaRose's Return to the Court

What lies behind that shipwreck?

Eurobricks member shmails brings us an intriguing Pirate scene.  One side has a seemingly-deserted shipwreck...the other has a secret cave where a meeting of the Brethren Court is in progress!  This is especially worth checking out for the excellent (all female!) custom minifigures.  You can see lots of pictures on flickr here.

LEGO Pirate Take all you can MOC Peter deYeule

You can almost hear the pirate captain screaming, "Take all you can!!!"

This isn't the first time our news scouts have stumbled across a nice MOC by Flickr member Peter deYeule and it almost certainly will not be the last.  This time Peter gives us an action scene of a pirate raid on a New England town.  According to the creator himself, the pirates seek all the food, gold, beer, water and prisoners they can take.  There is a lot of fine detail in this MOC, from the SNOT water to the tiled animal barn to the flames on the villagers' roofs.  Head to the forum for a link to even more pictures of this creation now!

The Pirate Miniland display at LEGOLAND Florida

A whole world of LEGO Pirate excitement!

LEGOLANDs are famous for their Minilands, areas where cities and other environments are recreated in LEGO form.  The new LEGOLAND Florida has an entire section dedicated to LEGO Pirates, complete with mini-scale ships, a harbor town, shipworks, and a reappearance by Captain Redbeard!  Insidethemagic has a photostream on flickr with a lot of awesome pictures.  Check it out here.

Bluecoats vs. Pirates MOC by Corioso and stiker499

The pirates are landing!

Classic-pirates.com user Corioso and his fellow builder Stiker499 present us a great battle scene between Blue Coats and the Pirates. It seems that Captain Blackbeard is up to no good again. But this time the Blue Coats are awaiting his landing party at the shore.

All Minifigs feature fleshy parts and the whole scene is very detailed. Some good photography adds to the feeling!

Who will win this battle? Head over and discuss  Blue Coats vs. Pirates! by Corioso & Stiker499 in the Classic-Pirates forum!

Pirates of the Caribbean Window Display

Horry has discovered an amazing window display built by flickr user Legoagogo.  The details of this build are a bit of a mystery, all we know is it was built as an advertisement for the LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean video game that came out earlier this year.  It's a site to be seen!

Even Rat's crave the gold!

Eurobricks Fellow SlyOwl has created a brick built Pirate Rat figure who goes by the name of Lenny. The story of his creation is pretty interesting and SlyOwl's techniques are worth looking at.
